I then proceded with checking the lowest price fiction and non-fiction by category. After some tightening up by Folio of the actual titles in the sale, I went through my wishlist. When the sale dropped this morning I found it a dud. Whether a specific title might appear in the upcoming sale is anybody’s guess. Most books find their way into a sale between two and five years of publication and new titles are likely to come mostly from books published between 2017-2019. Last December, 21 titles were initially added to the sale with another 19 added weeks later. Given the low inventory I’d think the lower number seems more likely at this time. Moreover, these numbers don’t include the books that sold out without ever going on sale.īetween 17-40 books have been offered for the first time in each of the last four sales. In 2019, 78 books sold out in the two sales and only 50 new books were published. For example, in 2020, 132 books offered in the January and June sales have sold out while only 42 new books were published.
